Yunnan & Guizhou Minority Area
Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the very deep south of China’s, is famed for the picturesque natural sceneries and is long-kwon as romantic nickname the south of the clouds. Is that a place so far away which only exists in your dream like the heaven or a place so close to your heart which you always want to grasp, but every time it slips away?
Where is south of the clouds? The Jade-dragon snow-mountain glimmers the silver, the peacocks fly over and lead you to the lost horizon, Shangrila, a familiar memory.
What is the south of the clouds? The sky is blue like the color of Lake Lugu , troubles river flows under the moon then take a walk in the Lijiang Ancient Town, do you still remember how to sing a happy song?
Ynnnan-Guizhou Plateau, colorful romantic and quiet experience. A gentle wind reminds you how many mountains here, then how many legends are here. The most romantic thing I can ever think of is being old with you here, the south of the clouds!
Yunnan is absolutely worthy of its dramatic name “ the South of the Colorful Clouds”. Tucked away in the far southwest, China’s fourth largest province has no unpleasant destination. From the magnificent chilly mountain passes and the silver-dotted snow-capped peaks of the north to the dormant volcanoes and dense tropical rainforests of the south, Yunnan has something for every tourist. The province’s diversity does not begin and end with its scenic splendor; it is also one of China’s most ethnically diverse provinces. A tour through Yunnan leads travelers past Tibetan herders in the lost horizon shangrila , the unique Naxi Dongba culture in the charming Lijiang Ancient Town and the echoing romance in the Stone Forest to the colorfully active minorities in Xishuangbanna, offers an insight into distinctive ways of life that are fast disappearing elsewhere.
Guizhou defines an easy characterization. The landscape, strewn with jagged and soft-peaked karst hills, is undeniably evocative. In many ways, Guizhou is more like a China’s Paradise Lost: the site of gentle mountain prettiness, the feeling of the sorrowful slow rhythm folk love songs and the heart-stopping beauty of the golden rape oil fields in spring.
Tourists visit Guizhou with two purposes: the irresistible attraction of the scenic sights and the province’s most acclaimed export, MAOTAI liquor. Guizhou has much more to offer, however, restful, welcoming hamlets of minorities snuggle in valleys and by riversides, offers a glimpse into a life both different and enchanting, just like the amazing Guizhou itself.
