Day by Day ItineraryDay 1 Arrive in LhasaArrive Lhasa by flight or train. You'll be met by your local guide at the airport / train station and be transferred to the hotel. Have a good rest to adjust your body to a height of 12,000 feet above sea level.

Attractions:Day 2 LhasaSpend a full day exploring the mysteries of this sacred land at the “roof of the world”. Tibet's unique branch of Buddhism has always permeated its everyday life - you'll visit Potala Palace, a towering 1,000 room structure and former living quarters of the Dalai Lama; You will also visit Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s oldest and most holy spiritual centre located in the city core. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors. Yak butter lamps burn in front of rich statuary that includes the Sakyamuni Buddha brought to Tibet by Princess Wen Cheng in the 7th Century. Later on, you'll have time to explore the Bakor Street. Attractions: Barkhor Street Potala Palace Jokhang MonasteryDay 3 LhasaAfter breakfast, you will visit Drepung Monastery, which is built in 1416, it is considered as one of the largest monasteries in the six principle monasteries of Gelu Sect in China. Drepung Monastery used to be the living palace of Dalai Lamas before the reconstruction of Potala palace (after the 5th Dalai Lamas was bestowed by Qing emperor Qianlong); then visit Sera Monastery with its breathtaking views of Potala Palace and Lhasa valley. It is known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet. As one of the three main monasteries of Lhasa, it is here that the monks "famous daily debates" take place; Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served the whole governmental administration. (B/L)
